PEARL 2

Power Electronic Associated Research Laboratory
The purpose of this joint laboratory in power electronics is to develop a new generation of electrical energy converters to produce power levels five times as high as that currently possible.  These converters will be used for applications such as drives for road and rail vehicles, marine propulsion, motor driven systems in industry, as well as for aeronautics.
Industrial partners: Freescale Semiconducteurs, Alstom, Siemens VDO Automotive, Actia, Giat, EADS Astrium, Alcatel Alenai Space, Thales Avionic, SNECMA...
Partners in research: ENIT, LAAS CNRS, LGE, LEEI,
Other major public organizations: CNES, CEA, DGA,  ONERA.

PISE

Energy Systems Integration Complex
PISE's objective is to reinforce and structure the collaboration between the various scientific and industrial players in the fields of systems integration. The complex also aspires to other national and European partnerships, through reliance on regional know-how and expertise in systems. The purpose is to achieve a capacity to process the complexity and heterogeneity of applicative systems in fields as diverse as aeronautics, space, automobile, rail transport, health or habitat. The innovative aspect is to take energy sources into consideration, from the design phase, as well as energy storage and conversion, which cannot be dealt with separately using embedded systems.
  Dependable Systems Network (RIS)
Founders members: Airbus France, EADS Astrium, LAAS-CNRS, Technicatome, Thales Avionics.
The purpose of RIS is to promote and to facilitate the creation, piloting and promotion of working groups on themes related to engineering of "sofware preponderant" dependable systems.
5 Regional Networks of Technological Research in Midi-Pyrenees
· Favor collaboration between research organizations and companies, within the framework of priority topics
· Help in the development of new products and services resulting from technological innovation.
· Contribute to defining pertinent research (eliminate the technological stumbling blocks observed in these developments).
Télécommunications for Space and Aeronautics
Partners : Alcatel Space, CNES, Regional Council of Midi-Pyrenees, ENAC, INP ENSEEIHT, ENSICA, IRIT, ONERA, Rockwell Collins, STNA (DGAC), SUPAERO et Télécom Paris.
