Consulting assistance: the purpose of this aid is to encourage companies to seek advice from consulting firms to provide diagnostics or analysis of development projects.

Aid in Creating New Job Functions : this type of financial aid enables businesses to add the skills of management personnel with advanced specialization in fields necessary for company growth.

FIBM FIBM (Industrialization fund for mining districts): this fund, managed by the French Coal Board, intervenes in favor of local authorities or companies.

FRAEX (Regional export fund): the purpose of this aid is to support companies which wish to define an export strategy, prospect abroad or create a commercial location.

FRED (The Foundation for Restructuring Defense Industries). The FRED mission is to provide support to individual companies, or collective initiatives by groups of companies, with job-creation and economic development projects in those areas affected by restructuring in the Defense sector. FRED actions follow the same procedures and qualifications as those of the "Consulting assistance" (see above).

• Investment in tangible assets

PAT (Territorial development grant) - The central government awards this grant to subsidize equipment for companies whose investment program will have a positive effect on employment in regions which have been designated as priorities for territorial development.
DIACT/French Development Agency

FDPME (Small business development fund) - This fund supports industrial development projects which increase a companies technological or competitive level.

Corporate real estate . The purpose of this mechanism is to:
- Facilitate the financing of small projects in rural zones,
- To support projects which structure business creation or development in sectors or territories essential for regional economic stimulation.
