The Gers Department inaugurates the Teleparc Geomatics Complex

The Chamber of Commerce of the Gers Department and CEEI Gers-Gascogne, with backing from its partners, have created a geomatics technology park on a European scale in France's most rural Department. This site presents actions in progress, with European projects, such as :
- GeoTraceAgri (Geographical Traceability in Agriculture) : a geo-indicator for certification of the geographic origin of agricultural product.
- GTIS CAP (Geo Traceability Integrated System for the Common Agricultural Policy) : use of PAC Graphique as a traceability tool for agricultural crops and the environment of cultivated parcels.
- GRISI (Geomatic Regional Society Initiative) : contributes added value to projects which already have financing and to rural European regions in order to establish a regional geomatic network with the leaders of existing (of future) projects.

500 permenent INRA researchers work at the center, with approximately the same number of non-tenured personnel

National Agronomy School of Toulouse (INPT-ENSAT)
5 research themes : Plant Genomics and Biotechnology, Animal Sciences, Agri-business, Agronomy and Environment Department, Economic and Social Sciences Department
ENSAT is a member of the IFR of "Cellular Signalization and Plant Biotechnologies" and participates in joint regional platforms: Genopole, National Centre for Plant Genetic Resources

National Veterinary School of Toulouse (ENVT)
18 research teams in Food Safety, Basic Physiopathology & Toxicology, Animal Genetics, Molecular Microbiology, Ruminant Physiopathology.
ENVT was chosen by the Ministry of Research for the installation of a national research laboratory on the prion and scrapie in sheep.
